Give Back, It's Good For The Heart!

Last week Congressman George Holding was honored with the Spirit of Enterprise Award, an award given in recognition of support for pro-growth policies in the second session of the 115th Congress. “Every day, all across the country, America’s business owners and job creators serve their communities and strengthen their economies. We commend those leaders in Washington who recognize the vital role these businesses play and support them through commonsense, growth-oriented policy,” said Thomas J. Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “By advancing good legislation, these members of Congress are helping businesses grow and thrive, keeping our economy strong, and promoting the free enterprise system that drives opportunity and prosperity.”

The award was presented by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, at the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce, to acknowledge his pro-business voting record. During his remarks, he noted that it's courageous for individuals to invest in themselves by pooling their own finances, acting on their dreams and leaving the safety of a steady income; with a benefit package, to become an entrepreneur.

This week is recognized by U.S. Small Business Administration as National Small Business Week. Administrator Linda McMahon said, “We are extremely proud to honor America’s most successful small businesses during National Small Business Week, “These small business owners have shown tremendous dedication and perseverance. They are the job creators that fuel our economy and best represent the nation’s 30 million small businesses.”

In April, we shared a blog post outlining some compelling facts about the number of small businesses in the triangle area; including those that were woman owned! Twelve years later, Keith and I would make the same choice to invest in ourselves, again, by starting our business! Owning a business requires a focus on the community that invests in your business. At Promotional Partners, we work to be good stewards of the community by actively lending a voice and leadership to our local Chamber of Commerce, civic groups and non- profit organizations as a volunteer. Each year we donate to and sponsor numerous organization that uplift our communities. Last year, we invested almost 10K back into the local community.

Thank you, to our clients for supporting our business and making us a trusted partner for your brand. It's your continued support that allows us to invest back into the community. Giving back locally is also good for the heart! When years of work are over, will others in your community recall you were here, making an impact? We hope so......
